Irvine, CA (December 2010) – Those interested in a Christmas Eve dinner of Italian specialties in a beautiful setting will be interested in Prego Ristorante’s holiday offerings on Friday, December 24th. Open 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Christmas Eve, the Irvine Restaurant will feature the following specials, in addition to its regular menu:
Frittelle di Grancchio in Bellavista – Italian-style crab cakes, organic mixed green served with sweet pepper and mango sauce
Cosensei di Carne – Homemade ravioli filled with veal tenderloin and ricotta cheese, in a cream demi-glaze sauce tossed with peas and mushrooms
Risotto ai Sapori Mediterranei – Carnaroli rice with fresh mix seafood, artichoke in a lobster sauce finished with a balsamic reduction
Tagliolini Costa Smeralda – Thin flat pasta with lobster meat, shrimp, crab meat, olive oil, garlic, spinach and cherry tomatoes
Carne e Pesce
Grigliata di Mare – Grilled calamari, ahi tuna, salmon, white fish and fresh water prawns, served with spicy oregano sauce, potatoes and sautéed vegetables
Pollo alla Spiedo – Free-range chicken roasted with fresh herbs, garlic & chicken demi-glaze served with sautéed vegetables and potatoes
Petto d`Anatra – Petaluma duck breast grilled, balsamic reduction served with potatoes and asparagus
Carre di Vitello Tirolese – Mesquite veal rack (14oz) with aromatic fresh herb, imported parma prosciutto served with saffron rice
Controfiletto Toscano – Mesquite-grilled ribeye (18oz) served with sautéed spinach, roasted tomato, potatoes and porcini mushrooms on the side.
